Swimming Lessons for Babies, Chorley
How did you hear about Glover’s Swim School?
A friend
How long have you or your child been swimming with us?
A few months now
Have you been to other local swim schools? How do we compare?
Yes, my daughter went to the local leisure centre for over a year for her swimming lessons. She never enjoyed them, and trying to get her there was a chore. The classes were robotic, had too many children and were not fun. I used to think that my daughter would never grasp swimming, she wasn't confident at all in the water.
After speaking to a friend whose daughter attended Glovers, I decided to take the plunge and start her with Glovers, and I can honestly say I haven't looked back. In the first swimming lesson, I saw a massive difference; the classes were fun but very thorough in the way they taught. Laura is fantastic with the kids, and I truly believe kids learn through fun. Now my daughter is confident in the water and absolutely loves "swimming day".
What is your favourite thing about the lessons?
How much fun they are,
What has been your or your child’s biggest progression, and how did the teachers help you or your child reach that goal?
Putting her face in the water. She was at the Leisure Centre for over a year and never put her whole face in the water. Two or three lessons with Laura at Glover's, and she was fully dunking.
Is there a specific time or event in lessons that has stood out to you or your child?
All of them, lol—she just loves swimming with "silly Laura."
Tell us about your time with us.
I love to watch the lessons, and I love that parents are so close to the pool that we are able to encourage our child and also the other children in the class.
Is there someone at Glover’s Swim School you’d like to thank for their teaching and support?
Laura, she has a way with the kids that make them feel like its not a lesson, but still implements the importance of rules and safety. She encourages all the kids, gives them the extra attention they need as and when they need it.
