Swimming Lessons for Babies
Our swimming lessons for babies are the start of your little one's swimming journey. These swim lessons for babies cover the Swim England Discovery Ducklings and Duckling syllabus with the Glovers personal touch - our technique-focused learning style. Our Aqua Babies classes are small (maximum of 7), allowing us to give a more personal touch.
We have a fantastic team of baby swimming experts who all have additional Baby pre-school qualifications and a wealth of knowledge, along with having to complete in-house training with us to teach the ‘Glover’s’ way. Once swimmers have completed our Aqua Babies programme, they will progress to our Independent Aqua Heroes lessons.
Skills & Confidence
Your child will be taught skills that develop water awareness and confidence from as early as 3 months old. Our program incorporates many songs, games and activities to make each lesson stimulating and enjoyable.
We strongly believe in teaching to each child's individual needs at a pace that suits them. This helps to ensure your child gets the most from their baby swimming lessons. All pools we use for our baby programme are heated to at least 30 degrees to ensure your child is comfortable in the water.
3 Month Old Baby Swimming Lessons
Babies can be taught to swim from Birth, so if you have a 3 month old baby, swimming lessons with us will be perfect for them. Skills such as breath control, submersion, and free-floating are all taught at this level. These classes are a great opportunity to bond with your child at the start of their swimming journey.
As your child becomes more mobile on land, this helps them initiate movement through the water. Skills such as kicking and paddle movements with a woggle, turning towards the wall, and safe entries and exits will be the focus of these classes.
As your child’s development advances, they will begin to become more independent in the water. Most children at this level can combine paddling and kicking actions to move through the water unaided over short distances. Through exciting games and activities, children will also learn vital water safety and survival skills.
Your child will start to become even more ‘water confident’ as they learn to perfect their swimming skills. At this level, the focus will be on breath control, advancement in safety skills, and progressive learn-to-swim techniques. There will be lots of fun and games to ensure your child has the best experience possible.
